We Follows Budhigandaki River form Arughat to Samdo. We can see almost Hilly land till Shyala. Finally we can view full of mountains in high land (NUBRI). NUBRI Starts from Sirdibas village development committee.

Above here there is the snow mountain called Tashi Palsang. This is Lower Nubri, and in Upper Nubri there is snow mountain called Pungnyen. These are amazing sites—the Terma mentions the glacier Tashi Palsang, and it is said that there are resources here that are beneficial for the entire world.Mount Pungnyn in Upper Nubri, as the Buddha said in the scriptures, is no different from Mount Kailash. In this small area we have wonderful glaciers, mountains, lakes, and fields, as well many wonderful sites.

In terms of the history of the Dharma in Nubri, Nubri one of the places where Guru Rinpoche came before he went to Tibet—it was called Nepal Kyimolung—and he did bless the area. There are accounts that he came here before he went to Tibet. Later when he went to Tibet, he and the king of Tibet blessed many terma treasures. In one of these, it is stated he blessed this area so that although other areas would be subject to invasions, strife, and difficulties, this area would not experience such wars, famines, or earthquakes. If the inhabitants of this area live in accord with the Dharma and practice the ten virtues, we could be free of the terrors of invasion, famine, he said.

Later Gyalwa Rigsum Gompo and others blessed this area, and some time thereafter Karma Sambhava also blessed Upper, Lower, and Middle Nubri. The person who identified this as the area of Nepal Kyimolung is the Tertön Rigdzin Ökyi Dodrupchen, who was one of the greatest masters of the Northern Terma tradition. He first came to this area of Kyimolung, and up behind here there is an area with caves where he went and hid some treasures. Also there is the area of Nyam, where the tertön Gawang Dorje was born. He also came here, toured the area, identified the sacred sites, and wrote a description of the sites. He discovered a few treasures here as well, such as the Mirror of Treasure and the Unexcelled Lotus Heart Tantra. These are three tertons who have come here.

IN TSUM VALLEY :
Tsum Valley Trekking region is also famous for its old monasteries. Mu Gumpa,the oldest monastery in the region falls in Chhekampar VDC and was built in 1895. The famous Rachhen Gumpa with the largest population of resident monks and nuns in the region lies in same VDC. There is is a stone near the monastery that is believed to bear Milarepa’s footprint.

IN NUBRI VALLEY :
The Sehrang Gumpa in the Bihi VDC is famous as the place where deer are so tame that they feed from people’s hand. Nubri area lies in the northern part of historical district Gorkha. It includes Bihi, Prok, Lho & Sama Village Development Committees. Bhote Lama ethnic group lives in this area. They have own culture and religion. There are around 9000 people in 850 house husbandry. There is maize, barley, potato as crops and apple and oat nut as fruits. Local product is sufficient only for 3 months. For 9 months they import food from Tibet and Arughat. There are Manaslu, Serangi, Chuli Himal and Himal Chuli mountains. Among then Manaslu (8163 m) is one of the peak above 8000m. Kaltal and Birendratal etc. are main lakes in this area. Nubri people are Buddhist in religion. There are many monasteries and stupas in the villages. There subjects in there monasteries which provide residence for monks and nuns. There are government schools in every VDC. There are health posts in every village.

Things to see in Tsum and Nubri Valley Trek

1.Serang Monastery (3100m)

It lies in Bihi VDC where is the entry point of Nubri area.We can reach there in 8 hours from Dyang.This is sacred religions area.

2. Kaltal (3600m)

We can reach this sacred Ice-Lake in 4 hours from Prok Village.We can see panaromic view of Manasalu, Chuli, Himalchuli, Ganes and Serangi Mountains.

3.Lho Village

This village is flatland.There are 250 households including hotels, school, health post, Monasteries.We can see Manaslu Mountain from this village.Another attraction of this village is Hinlung monastery.We can see Chuli and Himalchuli from here.Gonpa Naktal monastery buit by Guru Rinpoche is also in this village.

4. Manaslu Base Area

Manaslu mountain is the main attraction of Nubri Area which lies in Sama VDC. Naljorphuk is old cave meditated by Jetsun Milarepa before thousan years.The sacred area Pungyen is also in Manaslu Base area. The name od Pungyen is mentioned in one of 103 volumes of Buddha's translated words (Kangur). Birendratal is also lies in this area.

Samdo is the last village of Sama VDC.There is cross road of Manang and Tibet in this area.It lies in 4000m.
